Camping
Low Tide Seahurst
We ventured to Seahurst Park to observe the low tide which we have done in previous years. It is always fun to see the sea creatures hidden on the rocks and in seaweed. Having the naturalist there to explain creatures makes it a real treat.
Caramel and Rhett both enjoyed picking up starfish and crabs. Wonder when and if this joy of picking up sea live will change. We enjoyed seeing a couple other families there.
It was very windy at times but still good weather for hunting around. When we came back to our bags the seagulls had taken the caramel popcorn we had packed and made a nice sandy mess.

Hooks T-Ball
Caramel is on the Hooks T-ball team this summer season. She is learning all the great skills of throwing, catching, running bases, and hitting. Although at the beginning I had to bribe her with Cheetos at the end of practice, I believe she enjoys it at times. She gets tired easily or unmotivated (probably would never enjoy soccer).
The team played a game called Cleanies and Messies. Half the group tipped over cones and the other set them back up. All the other kids were swarming around tipping over and setting up. Caramel stayed next to one cone and as it would get tipped over by random teammates, Caramel would carefully set it back up. This is basically how she participates in all the games they play.

She is one entertaining girl. One time during warm up, Coach had the team run to the fence and back. Caramel just started walking after everyone else took off like cheetahs (like the one on the Cheetos package). She then explained to Coach how she had a broken leg. Mmmm.......

Caramel enjoys sitting and cheering for teammates. |

Adventures in Bunk Beds
Picture A |
Rhett does a wonderful job taking a nap by himself on the lower bed. He made the switch from crib to lower bunk bed sleeping very well.
Picture B |
Nighttime sleeping is a whole different story. The easiest way to conquer the two is to have Caramel go to sleep first right at 8pm then bring in Rhett later and have him talk himself to sleep for an hour or even two! If Rhett could just make it through the day with no nap, bedtime would be early and quick basically enjoyable.
The most evil thing they will do when both are wake and unsupervised is lift up the floor vent and fill it with some random little toys that are super annoying to get out.
Once the kids are sleep making no noise or messes is when I realize how much I do love them and how precious they are! Can't wait for the next little boy!
