LICE!

I had to deal with LICE in Caramel's hair. Caramel had said quote, "I feel like I have itch bugs all over me." I should have known! It is good that I went overdue with baby #4, because I don't think I would have handled lice and a newborn well. Looking through Caramel's hair and getting all the bugs and nits out was so tedious. Luckily she let me put her hair up in pigtails. She has been wearing pigtails since the infestation. Caramel watched a lot of Magic School Bus while I searched. One morning she begged to go to school. Guess I will just threaten her with checking for itch bugs if she ever wants to stay home from school again. No pictures for this post because that would be seriously gross.

Nails and Ice Cream

Grandma Brenda is staying with us, waiting patiently for a new grandbaby. Her and Caramel got out of the house one Friday night for nails and ice cream. Caramel's nails had little white flowers on them too. Super cute. She did pick them off rather quickly though.

Nothing But Net

The boys received matching basketball outfits and a little basketball hoop & ball from Grandma Brenda for Valentine's Day. Here are their cute faces. Rhett is showing all attitude on his face, which sums up Rhett these days. He loves jumping all over the place then talking right in your face with attitude. Rhett will be ready to run around for soccer this spring. He has recently mastered the computer and mouse using the website friv.com that has awesome monster truck games.

 

Myles has been under the weather lately with fever, red cheeks, and fussiness. Not sure if it is teething or cold/flu sickness going around. He has a couple new teeth in the back. I love it when he gets all snuggly with his blankets. If you check on Myles during the night, he will have his blankets wrapped around his head. In the morning if he is up first, you will hear him jumping like crazy in his crib. He loves playing with balls. "Ball" is probably the best word his says. He also has fun making a basket with cars and hooking the wheels on the net then whining for help.  

 

Second Snow Day for the Season

Seattle got another SNOW DAY. It landed on a Sunday so church cancelled. With all the hills around the area getting stuck can be a real problem. Anthony took Caramel and Rhett out and they went sledding with another family at the park. I was surprised how long they stayed out. Caramel didn't like putting on snow clothes and complained until she was out the door. Rhett just gets cold really fast. They got treated to hot chocolate and snacks at their friends' house.

Finished the snow day with this little snowman. I guess this is a Seattle snowman. Not too big- Fun size. The kids just saw the new Disney movie Frozen, so it was good timing for some snow fun and building a small snowman.

Baby Shower

It is always fun to celebrate with friends. I don't really like to be the main reason for gathering though. Opening presents with everyone watching isn't my favorite thing. So my friend threw me this cute Diaper Auction party. Purple and green are my favorite colors and who doesn't love diapers!- especially newborn size, so small.

 The host auctioned off some items, we had brunch, and played baby name games.

I saved most of Caramel's baby clothes and another friend gave me a big bin of clothes and even an infant carseat. So baby stuff was quick and easy to gather. Ready for the new baby girl!
