Daddy Shirts

Growing up, I remember wearing my dad's t-shirts as pajamas. Recently, our kids started doing this. They will go into Anthony's closet and pick out t-shirts to wear as pajamas. First it was Caramel and Rhett. They leave their clothes on the floor in the closet. Then Myles caught on and started requesting. This is a picture of Myles during the day. He was suppose to put on normal day clothes, but was reminded of daddy's shirts and won't wear anything else. Every now and then he would lose his arm in the shirt and need help fishing it out. "I want daddy shirt."

Joyschool for Myles

Myles started Joyschool with three of his friends. His first assignment was to make a collage all about him. I put some pictures of him and sentences. "Myles is 3. Myles loves water. Myles loves motorcycles and construction. Myles loves music."
Myles enjoys going, learning and playing with Dottie, Edi, and Jason.
I will teach his class in November.

Sweaty Bike Rides

Summer is coming to a close and the days of sweaty helmet hair are limited.
The cool crisp air is here.
Myles is super crazy on his motorcycle now. He is too confident for me to watch.
Camellia loves to wear the bike helmet inside and outside.

Vashon Island Labor Day

I really wanted to go somewhere for Labor Day weekend. Get out of the neighborhood and not work on any home projects. Anthony had bigger plans, but we decided to get it simpler and do a small ferry ride. With Grammy Pam along with us, we went to Vashon Island. It was the kids first ferry ride. Short and sweet ride to a little island. They had fun exploring the ferry. First stop off the ferry was the lighthouse.

The kids enjoyed exploring the beach, collecting shells and parts of crabs. Climbing on the rocks and gathering sticks was also fun. Rhett found a cool stick that looked like a sword. Myles enjoyed seeing the different boats on the water.

There was an exercise area with a great view, we passed it on the way to the lighthouse.
We ate at Zombiez. Myles had a lot of fun learning the word zombie and finding pictures around the restaurant of zombies or skeletons. They had cute little ice cream cones we ate after burgers, chicken, and fries.

Myles First Grammy Day

Myles had his first Grammy day after turning 3 years old. He had taken a couple rides in Grammy's car before, but this time it was the real thing. Top down, front seat, and I-5 was a little scary for him.
Chucky Cheese is the traditional place for the first Grammy day.
Myles was cautious and scared about the rides. Chucky is a huge mouse and his name is Chucky, that is pretty scary.
Birthday shopping, lots of construction.

Camellia Explores

This little girl is super cute, but quite the little handful. She is 18 months now. She loves to get into everything. Climbing into the pantry, a must. Sometimes she decides to clear the kitchen table and climb on that. The older kids get in trouble now if they don't put their dishes away because Camellia will clear it for them. She loves to poke little babies in the eye. After nap if she is grumpy she will cry and cry if you don't hold her.

Camellia is old enough of Nursery now at church. But she cries! It was her second time today and she cried unless she was held or eating. Even having a sibling in there, Myles, didn't help. Silly little chubby faced girl.
Strangers love to call out her light hair and blue eyes and say, "where did she come from" looking at all my other dark hair and dark eyed children.

The Spirit of Myles

Pictures are from Grammy Pam.
This is her front yard in Seattle.
A little swing on an apple tree for an adventurous little 3 year old.

First Day of School

Caramel is in 3rd grade this year 2015-2016 at Fairwood Elementary. Her teacher is Mrs. Taylor. Caramel was excited to wear this new shirt that came with a tank top underneath. Also it came with a necklace. Any shirt or clothing that comes with a necklace is Caramel approved. She is wearing bracelets she made early that morning with charms on them. One for her and one for her friend.  Caramel finally has a sibling that goes to school with her.

Rhett is in Kindergarten this year. It is full day! He started the year with 28 kids in his class, but is now in a new class with only 18 students. The new teacher has not yet been hired. No tears for these kids. They were ready for school to start, social butterflies that will hopefully pay attention. It is a long day and week for Rhett but he is doing great. He has on his Ninja Turtle backpack, t-shirt, and jacket and lunch bag which isn't pictured.
