Christmas Morning

French toast of Christmas breakfast!

Christmas Eve Dinner

Getting ready for Grammy of Christmas Eve dinner.
Fun time opening presents.

Great Wolf Lodge

I really wanted to go somewhere for Christmas that didn't involve driving through snowy mountains. Somewhere to keep the kids busy. So Great Wolf Lodge it is! As soon as winter break started Rhett got sick then slowly all the other kids until Anthony was sick. Anthony was sick at Great Wolf Lodge, luckily not the whole time. The kids had fun and enjoyed all the waterpark features. Myles and Camellia didn't like the huge water bucket at the top of the play structure that spills over. Myles and Camellia liked the calmer shorter aspects. Caramel and Rhett loved going on the water slides.
Grandpa Dan was able to go with us.
Camellia loved the little fridge. She was opening, closing, and organizing very often.
All the kids enjoyed the beds and eating snacks in bed.
Myles wanted a turn with the camera. He took a nice photo of Anthony after a couple tries.

Grandpa Neil visit and Gingerbread houses

Grandpa Neil came up for a visit before Christmas. When we pulled up to get him a the airport, the Christmas lights in the van helped Grandpa to know which van we were. The kids were excited to go to the Family Fun Center, a place we drive pass often and say we will go to one day. All the kids had fun at the inside play area going down the slides and climbing up the tunnels.
Camellia was excited to get a soft pink jacket, a baby stroller, and some hair clips. Rhett and Myles and the whole family were entertained with remote controlled bumper cars. Lots of fun competing with each other to bump the toy rider off. Caramel has already made her art kit crafts and played with her new Barbie Jeep.
We made gingerbread houses but they didn't last long. The yummy candy was too tempting.

A Year with Frog and Toad

First Camellia and I were able to go to the play A Year with Frog and Toad at Kentridge High School. Frog was played by a young man in our ward and another young man played multiple parts. Camellia and I enjoyed the play, there were lots of cute songs and characters to keep Camellia entertained. The next day Anthony took Caramel, Rhett, and Myles to see it. The snail with the mail and eating cookies were favorite parts. Toad looks funny it in a bathing suit was cute too. Caramel did this musical performance in 2nd grade so she knew many of the songs. Super cute.

Grammy Family Outing

This year we met Grammy and the Orr family at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Seattle for dinner. The Seattle location of The Old Spaghetti Factory is closing near the end of December. After dinner we went to Green Lake for the Parade of Lights. The trail around the lake was lined with lighting. We were decorated as well with lights. We ended up at Grammy's house at the end to warm up and sing Christmas carols at the neighbor's house. Myles and Rhett got to play on harmonicas at the neighbors house.

Garden Lights and Snowflake Lane

Fun in Bellevue. We were able to go up to the Bellevue Botanical Lights and meet Grammy there. It was a nice no rainy night. The kids enjoyed having camera control. The 3 oldest took turns taking pictures. By the end of the night we had tons of blurry pictures of the garden lights. Myles realized on a the toad statue.
We also went to Snowflake Lane at Bellevue Square Mall. The kids enjoyed the 3rd level play center until it was time to go outside for the show. It was very busy! Not as much fun as it was a few years ago. We went with Grandpa Dan and then met up with Anthony near the end when he was done with a work dinner. The snow or bubbles was what the kids liked the most and walking around the festive mall. I did get a pictures of Frosty and the boys.

Caspar Babypants

I took Myles and Camellia to a music concert at the library. We went with other Joyschool friends. The man calls himself Caspar Babypants. He is a great local musician creating songs for kids. The kids enjoyed sing and dancing around with their friends.

Simple Thanksgiving

We had a relaxing Thanksgiving at home. Grammy Pam was able to help. Caramel was interested in helping with food preparing this year. Rhett helped with table decorating; a robot was a centerpiece with all the turkeys. The kids enjoyed sparkling apple cider the most. Rhett had 6 rolls and one bite of turkey. We had yummy pies from a high school fundraiser- pumpkin and grasshopper.

Anthony took his annually trip to South Dakota. Neil and Anthony had a bigger crew this year for hunting at Rodger and Karen's house. There was a blizzard on the first day which made things interesting.

Pumpkin Patch and Grandpa Neil

Carpinito Farm, we made it! Great weather to go to the farm. Although the pumpkin patch was a little slick with mud from earlier ran.
Rubber ducks and water pump, they boys enjoyed pumping the water out and spending the ducks floating down.

Jumping in the hay and corn pit. Myles played in the hay and playgroup around. All the kids played in the big corn pit, taking off their shoes to more fully experience the corn.
Enjoyed the animals too, there was a huge mother pig with tons of piglets like ten all feeding and running around. Sitting on the tractor was fun. Caramel wanted to go through the hay maze. Then she wanted to go in the corn maze which is much bigger. We haven't experienced that yet, don't want to lose any kids. A tractor pulled us out to the fields were we saw a field of brussel
sprouts and lots of pumpkins. We did all this eating kettle popcorn of course.

Sports Class

Myles is learning about sports at a multi-sports class through Renton community center. He was nervous and didn't want to play around the gym the first day. It wasn't until his friend showed up that he decided to participate. The relay races were the best to watch. Myles was very frustrated when he didn't make a goal or basket.
