My side kicks

Motorcycle Collection

The collection grows.
And grows, in small form as well.

Fall Soccer - LightSaber Blue

Rhett is now on the older side since the KCYS league changed their teams to be the year you where born, not the school year you are in. He is having fun and learning control and aiming skills.
If the wagon is moving- Myles is in it. He thinks it is his ride. It can be a little annoying to him when I use it for carrying all the kids stuff around. Camellia loves to be the drive too.
The girls practicing their skills too. Normally they are playing at the playground.
Some practices and games have been windy and raining.

First Day of School

The kids were super excited to start school. Caramel going into 4th grade with Mrs. Tugman (Mrs. Tugman was Caramel's reading teacher last year). Caramel was excited to have her as a teacher this year. Rhett going into 1st grade with Ms. Willits. Ms. Willits was new to Fairwood Elementary last year and is super energetic singing and having the kids move around while learning. They both have a small class size which is awesome. Rhett only has 13 kids in his class and Caramel 19. Myles in Preschool at Cross and Crown with Mrs. Alsept has 12 students. Compared to the other kids that number seems high! Myles had no problem going to school, even Camellia needed a backpack while driving the kids to school. Myles has 2 church friends in his class which makes me grateful.

We have already gone to curriculum night which was great meeting the teachers. A 4th grade teacher refers to the students as scholars which I thought was cute. Caramel learns the recorder this year and is attending Honor Choir before school.

Before school had even started, I had been there a lot with PTSA stuff. I am the vice president this year which is more than I wanted to be, but it is keeping me busy and very involved.

I have volunteered in Caramel's and Rhett's classroom. I was just in the back of the room doing paperwork, but I love to watch them and see how the act in there classroom environment. Caramel is still playing tetherball at recess. And Rhett says the girls chase the boys at his recess.
And we painted our front door red.
Which I learned later you have to get the HOA to approve, oops.

GM's Passing

Great Grandma Wanda Miller or GM passed on August 31st. The kids were able to visit her in the hospital during the summer and talk with her. All enjoyed the visit. We were sad to hear of her passing but with health problems it was her time.

Wanda was born in Plainville Kansas Dec 10, 1926 and passed August 31, 2016 at her home in Providence Point, Issaquah Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Melvin Miller. Wanda is survived by her 4 children, Don Miller of Mississippi, Pamela Bain of Seattle, Bob Miller of Phoenix Arizona and John Miller of Kirkland Washington plus 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

The kids have been to her house several times after her passing. We have several items that will reminds us of her and GP too. GM always send birthday and holiday cards. She would put $2 bills in the birthday cards, I didn't even know there was a $2 bill. She bought and made the kids several gifts. My favorite is the Raggdy Ann and Andy dolls she made. The kids love their Christmas stocking she made for them.

Dress Up

Myles the Stormtrooper, living the dream. Normally he just wears the mask and marching around with the nerf gun. But he found the Stormtroop rain jacket Anthony bought. He loved the outfit.

Caramel dressing up Camellia in her clothes and shoes.
