Cachet's birthday

I had a fun birthday going to a movie with some friends, La La Land and tasting lots of different Oreos. Thin mint and peanut were very tasty. We ate our Oreo ice cream shakes at the movie. Anthony had the 3 younger kids and Caramel went to a sleepover birthday party (she slept a lot the next day).

The next day Grandpa Dan took Caramel and Rhett to the Mariner's Fan Fest day. After that he watched all of the kids. Anthony and I went out to a new Mexican restaurant and a chocolate place in Queen Anne called Chocolopolis. Nice birthday with lots of chocolate involved.

New furniture and Organizing

We have had lots of moving around getting rid of furniture, buying furniture, and being given furniture. I purchased new couches for Christmas and my birthday in the front room. The front room is slowing getting furnished and random items not being stored in there. We had to organize a room up stairs. Moved storage bins into the attic area, got rid of furniture, and put in a bed set that Caramel can have. The furniture will be great for Caramel when the upstairs is finished with new framing, dry walling, and heating. The boys room changed too with the bunk beds being separated and new bedspreads. A couple larger toys were donated without anyone noticing. Anthony's arcade machine moved upstairs out of the front room.

Rhett's Birthday

Rhett had a Pokémon themed birthday with a group of friends. They played Pokémon themed games- catch the Pokémon, knock down Team Rocket, Pokémon piñata, pop balloons with Pokémon inside, make your own Pokémon card. At the end we had pizza and cake and watched a Pokémon episode.

After the party he took off with Grammy for shopping. I guess they spent the whole time shopping like 6 hours, going to toy store looking at all the options.

Rhett received a lot of Pokémon cards, books, shirts, bathrobe, and toys.

Hyak Sledding

Everyone experienced sledding up at Hyak sledding park. It ended up being the perfect day for sledding with a sunny sky. It takes about an hour to get up Snoqualmie Pass. There was a small sledding area with no lines. Then the main sledding hill with 3 or 4 lanes to sled down. We started at the small area and probably should have stayed there with Myles and Camellia. We all went up to the bigger hill and waited in line. Anthony teamed up with Myles. Caramel and Rhett together. Then last Camellia and me. Camellia got snow sprayed in the face a lot and wasn't in the best of mood after. We sledded for awhile. Myles and Camellia had to warm up in the van for a little. Then we walked over to a frozen stream and had some snacks and hot chocolate.

It wasn't a very long day playing in the snow. On the way out the line coming in was super long and an ambulance was trying to get in too. Myles had ear pain driving home which was new. We stopped for some gum and candy he could chew on.

Uneventful New Year's Eve

We spent New Year's Eve at home this year just the 6 of us. No party. Caramel was like, "What no one is coming over." We had sparkling cider around 10pm with the kids. Myles really enjoyed pouring the cider into the fancy glasses. Luckily nothing broke!
