Tetherball Tournament

I hosted a tetherball tournament at school. There is a big group of 4th graders that like to play. Caramel and her friend Ellen played off for the winner of 4th grade. Caramel lost but she tried her best. She was upset not to win. The winners of each grade played each other. A sixth grade won the tetherball trophy.

Broken Window

Rhett threw a rock and it hit the window by the front door. This is no small window. It is the size of 2 doors and goes from the floor to the ceiling. It will be expensive to replace. About a month ago the kids were playing with a frog on the window and threw shells/rocks at him. I stopped them quickly and explained to them never to throw things at windows. I can't believe that huge window is broken. Rhett and his siblings will be helping him earn the money to pay for it with chores.

Orges Team Spring Soccer

Rhett ended another soccer season with his team the Orges. There was one boy from school and another boy from a previous season on his team. Soccer is great for Rhett, he enjoys it and always want to play. Rhett is getting better at aiming, passing, and positioning himself better. The celebration was at Menchies. The player received medals. Rhett said he would be like Wreck Ralph.

Pacific Science Center 1st grade field trip

I was privileged to go on the 1st grade field trip to the Pacific Science Center with Rhett and all the first graders. Rhett was in a group with 3 other boys that I was responsible for. They were so hyper, excited, bouncing off the walls. The bus ride was so fun for them, getting on the freeway, tunnels, and bridges. Once we were at the center there were a ton of other students there. Field trips galore. The 4 boys were either all over each other and running in different directions. The center doesn't have very many one entrance/exit areas. The butterfly room was very relaxing and calm. A butterfly even landed on my twice. The water area outside was fun for the boys and the ocean floor exhibit. I did have to enforce hand holding halfway through to slow the boys down with all the running. Two of the boys fell asleep on the bus ride home.

Teacher Gift

Mrs. Tugman has been a great teacher for Caramel. Caramel was excited to cut these flowers from the backyard and put them in a vase she made at Activity Days. Caramel wrote a message on the vase in sharpie for Mrs. Tugman

Rolling Hills Swim Team

Caramel is on the Rolling Hills Swim Team. She goes to practice Monday through Friday for 45 minutes. This coming week the meets will start. There was a intersquad meet today. Everyone swam the breast, back, fly and free stroke to get a time recorded. Caramel has a swim buddy Samantha. We know Samantha already through church and babysitting. Caramel enjoyed having her help get to her event on time. After the meet there was a party at Vasa Park on Lake Sammamish. The kids enjoyed the water and park. Caramel passed the park swim test and went down the water slides a bunch.

Ferry ride to Whidbey Island

We traveled to Whidbey Island with Grammy to visit her friend. At first Myles didn't like the idea of getting on a ferry. Once we were on it he was fine. The kids enjoyed exploring the ferry and looking at all the pamphlets. At the beach house the kids enjoyed the beach looking for shells and crabs.

Grammy Family Photos

With Charity in town, Grammy Pam scheduled family pictures. These were crazy pictures with WIGS! Caramel and Rhett thought this was a good idea. Myles wasn't sure. Camellia didn't like the wig. After everyone got on their wig Myles really enjoyed it. Camellia just dealt with it. After the photo session was all over, Caramel still wore her wig around Grammy house and in the car. Most of the wigs were neon colors.
