Driving in the Car

We drove to Idaho/Utah for a extended family reunion. It is a long drive and we started it right after the B Champs for swimming was over. On the way there we drove straight to Bear Lake. No hotel sleeping. We followed Grandpa Dan with him pulling his boat. The kids enjoyed watching movies and drawing. Myles is entertaining himself in this picture with his curls holding a bouncy ball. We ate at Miners in Yakima. A place were I ate with my family when I was traveling to Utah or my bother was playing baseball. The hamburgers are huge Anthony got one. The kids got ice cream cones which were ridiculously huge.

That is Bear Lake in the distance. When you drive in from Logan, you get to the top of the hill then drive down into Bear Lake with a great view.

Almost home and we stopped at Cabela's in Lacey, WA. Myles and Cami sitting in a hunting tent, Cami with her baby. The have live fish and live sized stuffed animals.

Caramel and her friend rented a pedal boat. Cami and Myles took turns going with me. Rhett and Grammy went on a boat as well. 

Cub Camp

Rhett went to Cub Camp, the theme was North to Alaska. It was a four day camp from 8am to 4pm. I was able to volunteer one day with another mom. It was fun doing all the different stations. I was able to see the skits from each pack. Rhett got a bullseye and received a globe key chain.

Swim Team

I have driven to RH swimming pool thousands of times it feels like some days I make 3 trips there. The kids have enjoyed swim team. Caramel the most. She loves the social aspect, she has a lot of great church friends that are on the team. Rhett has enjoyed swim team as well. He is more competitive and gets colder easier than Caramel. They recently had a team party with a long slip and side and field games. The party had to end early because of a down pour.

 Rhett does swim with a cap which makes him easy to spot. His goggles are so tight that there are red circles around his eyes.

 Caramel was in the water the whole time with her friend. They enjoyed tubing, swimming, and jumping off the boat.

Fourth of July

We had a super fun 4th of July. We started at a ward member's house with a pancake breakfast, face painting, and water balloon toss. When we are in town we normally go to the church breakfast function. Our neighborhood has started a kid 4th of July parade at the park. It makes me sad to miss it and not see all the cute local kids. The church breakfast is always fun though.

The boys came home with some "babies" - water balloon babies. Rhett has three and he has cared for them well - hiding them from his siblings. (Update Rhett's last balloon popped 8/4, so funny watching him care about them so much.) Myles wasn't as careful and the babies didn't last more than a day.

My friend and I went fabric shopping. I was just window shopping while she picked up needed fabric during their sale. After the dad's had a shopping turn and went to Harbor Freight Tools.

We went to a friend's lake house for the firework fun. Shady Lake is a small cute lake in Renton. After hanging out there, I have to admit it would be an awesome lake to live on, a great location. I think every house on that lake was having a party. So many fireworks, big ones! Anthony and his friend had fun spending to much on fireworks. They even picked out a firework and dedicated it to their wives. It was a fun time with friends and Grammy. Anthony had a firework car race with the kids, he enjoyed it and lost his voice a little too.
