Myles and Cami Camp

Myles and Cami were excited for soccer camp. Cami wanted it to be a real camp were you sleepover. She was ready to back a suitcase. It was for 3 days for 2 hours in the morning at an elementary field. Rhett let them both borrow an old soccer shirt but they got new shirts when they arrived. The first day was great. Myles played well in the middle aged group. He enjoyed talking to the coach about being seaweed in the shark and minnows game more than actually playing the game. Cami played with the youngest group and loved running with all her energy. The second it rained like the whole time. They still had fun! Rhett wanted to join but I already pay enough for his soccer club team. Myles had a cough and didn't go to the last day, but Cami was fine by herself talking with the 2 others girls in her group.

Workbooks

Myles and Rhett have done a great job doing their workbooks so far this summer. When they get half way done they get to go to dinner with daddy. Cami practices her full name and writing numbers 1-20. Caramel had a package with math review for 7th grade.

Coal Creek

Squak Mountain

We hiked a trail on Squak Mountain. Super green and saw lots of slugs. There was a fun bridge with a tiny steam. Cami and I got stinging nettle on our legs but it wasn't bad. We even found a geocash with some moldy treasures on the trail. We took two friends and met another family with 2 boys.

Gnome Hike

We went on a hike in Maple Valley that has a gnomes section. After hiking for a little bit we were able to find the gnome trail. Fun and easy for the kids. We did have to watch out for some mountain bikers but the kids did a great job.

Volleyball and Caramel

Caramel has enjoyed volleyball lot this year. This is a picture of her friend and her at Allen Park on the last day of school. She also went to Menchies with 2 friends and help her teacher clean her classroom. She attend a 3 day volleyball camp from 9am to 2pm. She loves to play!

Playing the frontyard

We obtained a fun balloon friend from Caramel's 6th grade party. Myles enjoyed biking riding with him. Cami got a teddy to give rides in her jeep. I gave Rhett a hammer and he had a fun time pounding away on a tree stump that is almost gone. He reduced the size a lot and was very satisfied.

First Hike

On our first hike for summer, we had a big group of kids. The others ones took off and I ended up going on a random path with them. We were all able to meet by at the beginning. There was a lake and by the end Myles was completely wet in his clothes. We did get to go swimming later with friends at Rolling Hills. Myles was so excited that he could touch in the shallow area this year.
