Dinner with Cousins

One evening before my brother and sister headed out of town, we ate all together at a restaurant in Provo. It was a fancy one for my kids and wasn't very relaxing having Myles and Camellia to watch after.

After dinner the kids got to listen to a band play and play in the water. Some got wetter than others. They had a great time!

Nixon's Baptism

This is the first cousin baptism my kids were able to go to.
Pictured is my sister Desi's kids- Roxy, Riley, Nixon, and Kami and mine.
All the cousins from my siblings were there which was fun for the kids to visit with.
Here they are playing games as we wait, trying to not be super loud.

From Washington to Utah

Grandma Brenda, the kids, and I drove down to Utah for summer fun and Nixon's baptism.
The kids enjoyed eating at Burger King with a play area.
I couldn't do the whole drove in one day, so we stayed in La Grande. The kids loved the hotel and swimming there. Myles practiced some of his swimming lesson moves. Caramel and Rhett enjoyed jumping in the pool and trying to do other tricks. I tried to get the kids to enjoy looking out the window when we passed various things like cows and horses or big rivers. They enjoyed watching movies like Finding Dory and Wreck It Ralph.

Swimming Lessons at Rolling Hills

We started the summer out swimming at Rolling Hills. Caramel was excited to have a teacher from Anthony's Scout group that we knew. She did have a sub when Anthony went camping with the Scouting group. Caramel was super excited to start learning how to dive.

Rhett loves to show off his skills of going under water. He is very comfortable in the water but knows his limits.

Myles was a little nervous about swimming lessons. He had 2 friends he knows in his classes. Once he learned about the fun little kiddie pool, he wanted to spend all his time there and not with his teacher.

Camellia enjoyed the kiddie pool or being held by Grandma Brenda or me on the cloudier days.
After lessons were over the kiddie pool would get a little crazy with all the kids playing in it.

Walmart Buddies

Caramel and Rhett having a little too much fun in Walmart.

Snake Skeleton

I was weeding the front rocks when I found this snake skeleton. I have seen snakes in the front rocks before so it wasn't a big surprise. Caramel found it interesting and wanted to hold it for a bit.

Franklin Falls

I love getting outdoors and hiking.
Franklin Falls had large and small rocks at the beginning of the hike.
The rocks under the river looked beautiful.
The kids had fun hiking. Camellia was in the backpack and Myles did want to be held a couple times. Caramel got to bring a friend. Rhett and the two older girls were always ahead of Grandma Brenda, the two younger kids, and I. We ate lunch at the falls. The kids enjoyed collecting rocks and getting sprayed from the waterfall. As always the way down seemed faster and having a friend made the pace up faster with no complaints.
