One night after a rain shower, Anthony found this frog in the front yard. The kids gently touched his slimy back and the frog just sat there. After observing him for awhile, we set him free. The next day in the backyard I found him again. Myles really enjoyed seeing the frog again and watching him jump around. Now Myles expects to find a frog regularly.
Anthony set the cage in the backyard, and we caught a bunny for a half day. Now Camellia points to the cage frequently and says, "bunny."
One morning I noticed I forgot to close the garage door at night. The kids and I were getting ready to leave in the van. Everyone was buckled in the van and I went inside to get the last couple items. When I turned out of the kitchen towards the garage a squirrel was coming right towards me. I let out a good scream and luckily it turned around and left the house. I got in the van and told the kids and we left thinking the squirrel had exited the garage. When we returned I noticed some things on the garage floor. So I left the garage door open a little during the day hoping the squirrel would exit. The next day getting into the van to leave, I heard a sound and turned to see the squirrel at eye level on a shelf. I screamed and hurried into the van. Returning home I parked in the garage, got out on the opposite side with the kids and left the garage door open again. That was the last I heard and saw of the squirrel in the garage, hopefully he has left and isn't hibernating.

Art Docent
Once a month I teach an art lesson in each of Caramel and Rhett's class.
The art medium was oil pastels. Caramel's 3rd grade class learned about proportion and texture when drawing a polar bear with northern lights as the background. The class did a great job in such a short time. Learning facts about polar bears and northern lights was very interesting.
Rhett's cute little Kindergarten class had more than double the time and half the paper size. They learned about an artist, Paul Klee, and geometric shapes in art. They drew their own geometric buildings. Their were tears about having to outline all their sketches and not being about to take the art work home.
Every other Thursday I volunteer in their classes for an hour, mainly making copies or cutting paper. It is fun to see their school life and how they act.

Camellia Morning Routine
Camellia has this horrible routine to go in the bathroom while I am getting read in the morning and empty the bathroom drawers. Myles finally noticed what she was doing and likes to throw all the stuff in the sink to "clean up."
On this day she noticed there are more drawers behind her, but I stopped her before the dumping could start.
Myles has this cute little football. Camellia found it and assumed it was for biting.
Camellia came out of the bathroom with this flower in her hair. She had found the hair accessories and chosen this one.

Simeon Says
These four little friends get to hangout every week. They are so cute and funny together. They were all standing on the fireplace together, so I played a little Simeon Says with them. Folding their arms was super cute. They love to play trucks and babies together, but best of all is dancing.

Brothers
Here is a picture of Rhett and Myles doing "cool man." "Cool man" started when Myles puts on sunglasses and acts cool. Now it happens whenever someone puts on accessories. Rhett and Myles were having lots of fun acting like cool men with daddy's sweatbands.
Rhett and Myles have turned into true brothers, wrestling all the time. Rhett is lucky that Myles is a little clumsy, but in a year or so Rhett better gain some more weight.

Laundry Helpers
Myles and Camellia are my little helpers while Caramel and Rhett are at school. Basically they dump out all the clothes and use the baskets for their own entertainment.
Camellia loves baby dolls and the baby stroller. She will put them to sleep often in the little baby bed.

Daddy Shirts
Growing up, I remember wearing my dad's t-shirts as pajamas. Recently, our kids started doing this. They will go into Anthony's closet and pick out t-shirts to wear as pajamas. First it was Caramel and Rhett. They leave their clothes on the floor in the closet. Then Myles caught on and started requesting. This is a picture of Myles during the day. He was suppose to put on normal day clothes, but was reminded of daddy's shirts and won't wear anything else. Every now and then he would lose his arm in the shirt and need help fishing it out. "I want daddy shirt."
