Escapist, Wrecking Ball, Scubba, Megamind, almost 2 -Myles

Here is Megamind Myles. I didn't know Anthony was going to shave all the hair off. Caramel and Rhett found this new look hilarious. Not good timing with the sunny summer and having to spray the head down with sunscreen. We are at Gene Coulon park in this picture, not my favorite park with Myles because of the tall play structure and his love to hang from metal bars.
Myles is very destructive. Maybe he thinks he is building something abstract. He loves to pile all the large objects on each other tipped over. So satisfied when he is done.
Myles loves, loves the water. When the kiddie swimming pool is out with 2 inches of water he loves to jump into it and land on his bottom like it is a trampoline. When he drinks from a water bottle he will do a normal drink then a dump all the water all over himself drink with a big smile. This picture is what Myles does when he finds a swim diaper. He lays down so I can put it on him thinking it will magically make us go swimming.
It has been a couple months now that Myles learned how to climb out of his crib. When he first learned, he would join Rhett in his bed. So now there is a gate at the bedroom door. This is needed for Camellia's protection. Myles loves to climb into her crib. He is so good at making others share. Also the gate stops me from worrying that Myles is roaming the house, he does love to open the door to the garage and hit the button to open the garage door, YIKES!

Myles is almost 2!

Wallpaper, Never Again!

I am basically finished taking down wallpaper in our new house. I have two small areas in the kitchen to do. When I first started I thought I would never finish, it took forever. I was messing up the walls pretty good too. Once I got some better tools, something Anthony always does when he has a project, the wallpaper removal became hopeful again. I don't know the square footage of how much wallpaper I took down, but it was like 6 walls worth in an average room size. Only two walls had wallpaper on top of wallpaper, yikes! The main reason it took forever was the short time frame of nap time when I would do it. Finally I claimed a Saturday and finished up.

I have found some surprise wallpaper. Like in the master bathroom behind a cabinet Anthony took down. SURPRISE more wallpaper.

Now to fix all the walls and pick out paint!

Berries and Snakes

We have our daily raspberry pick. If we miss a day or two, the raspberries can be bountiful. Strawberries didn't do that well, but we still had a bowl full one day. Blueberries, we are still waiting. Caramel always wants to pick raspberries but has to have a picking partner to go with her. Recipes ideas are flowing through her head constantly. She always has the great idea to sell her creations for "5 bucks" if any raspberries make it inside, she does have beggars to feed, little brothers. (Myles, the 2 year old, can get vicious and spill Caramel's bowl trying to get a berry or seven.) Applesauce with a raspberry and another random fruit in a muffin liner is the common recipe.
"Snakes, why did it have to be snakes?" One reason Caramel needs a picking buddy is because of the snakes. Harmless, but still snakes! We house a lot of Garter snakes in the backyard. The biggest we have seen is this one in the picture. We have seen smaller ones and even baby ones a few inches. Rhett is yelling next to the pile of sticks and blackberry vines that house the snakes, one is curled up on top sunbathing (totally out of focus).
Blueberries getting ready to turn blue.

Uncle Bob's Best Dinner Ever

We were able to visit with Uncle Bob, Grammy Pam's brother, for one evening. Uncle Bob and Grammy went to grab some dinner for the family and came back with a surprise. Should have gotten a picture of it. They had stop at least 5, maybe more, restaurants and brought all the food home. It was fun for the kids and adults to pick out if they wanted a hamburger, taco, pizza, or fried chicken and what kind of potatoes- mashed, curly fries, or regular fries. The kids were nice and crazy for our guest, always putting on shows and wanting to entertain.

Chanel and Enjoli Visit

Olivia, Rhett, and Bentley with Jimmy
Bentley, Lyla, and Caramel at Seward Park
Two of my sisters- oldest, Chanel and youngest, Enjoli- came to Washington for a visit with their family and boyfriend. Caramel and Rhett spent the most time with them. They enjoyed boating and a sleep over with cousins at Grandpa's. Myles, Camellia, and I did get to meet up with everyone at Seward Park and play. I miss having a sister in Washington.

Taco Time is a usual dinner after boating, but Caramel and Rhett learned about Round Table Pizza and toy vending machines this time around. Now they request Round Table and want to bring their wallets. Rhett doesn't even eat pizza unless he is really hungry. The vending machines at the Fairwood Round Table Pizza are from the company Anthony contacted when he proposed to me and put the ring in the toy vending machine. Fun fact of the week.

Always fun to see family and enjoy relaxing activities together.
